Coronavirus Updates

Hello Church Family,

I wanted to take the time to share with you what is coming up over the next few days and to address a common concern among our church family.

First, several people have asked how to continue giving while we are away from church.  There are a couple of ways you can give tithes and offerings during the “shelter-in-place” orders.  You can send a check to the church: 5372 E Belmont Ave Fresno, CA 93727.  You can also give online.  If you have a personal profile on Breeze (our church management software platform), simply go to the “Give Now” section.  If you do NOT have a personal profile on Breeze, go to the giving page on our website: http://harmonyfwbchurch.org/giving/

Sunday is quickly approaching and we want to let you know of the plans we have for Sunday morning worship.  We will be broadcasting live on Facebook around 10:30am.  We plan to have a couple of songs, some announcements, then a message from Pastor Trent.  Please make sure that you have “liked” our Facebook page so you will receive a notification once we go live.  Our page can be found at https://www.facebook.com/harmonychurchfresno/  Video recordings of each service will also be available on the church’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChBXQYw87rJr8509Z1GqzIQ/about?view_as=subscriber

We would like to encourage our church family to stay connected as much as possible.  Call or text each other consistently.  If you have any prayer requests or need for help, please text them to (559) 251-5630.  Pastor Trent is diligently keeping track of that number and will be sure to share requests and needs with church leadership, as appropriate.

Finally, we are working on plans to provide regular devotions online and we plan to provide some type of teaching or preaching on Wednesday nights as well.  More to come on that.

We are constantly praying for you all and hope that you are finding comfort in The Lord and trust that He is in charge of all things in the coming days and weeks.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”    Numbers 6:24-26

After reviewing the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and at the direction of President Donald Trump, including the directive to avoid gatherings of more than 10 people, Harmony Church leadership has made the difficult decision to suspend services over the next two weeks to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community. This decision was made in an effort to help protect the health and wellbeing of our congregants and community, especially those who may be more susceptible to viral infections.

Our plan is to broadcast services and provide as much information as possible over the coming days and weeks. Please continue to pray for this situation, specifically for those who are more vulnerable, for those who will be working in close proximity to infected individuals (healthcare workers, first responders, family members, etc.), and pray that God will guide our country’s leaders to make wise decisions for enduring the outbreak and the consequences of social distancing practices and quarantines.
